Sunday bunch ride to Muriwai

It was great to see so many of the Grammar cyclists on the road out to Muriwai on Sunday in the three bunches for the first gathering of the season.

To the parents who assisted with running the one day camp - a big thank you. Especially thanks to the Porters for making their property available, as the camp ground we had used in the past was already booked.

There are too many others who helped out to name specifically, but whether you helped with the excellent breakfast, drove a lead or following vehicle, or rode out there with the boys – thanks. An event like this is so dependent on the extent of parent assistance provided. For everyone who was out at Muriwai it was a great start to the season, not only a good challenging ride and great breakfast, but also a valuable time for mixing and mingling for the parents and some fun and games and hijinks for the boys.

I have received a few photos – but if anyone has some others that you can email through to me I'll put a selection up on the web site. ( send to rjustice@xtra.co.nz )

Also, if anyone has any feedback – from the parents or the boys - please let us know, then we can ensure that anything that should be taken into account for future occasions is noted and can be referred to when we next have such an event.
